On October 15, we will host an interview with Greta Zajančauskaitė, Bioeconomy Lead Expert at Invest Lithuania, who will share her insights on how countries can position themselves to attract investment into the bioeconomy sector.
The conversation will explore the broad scope of the bioeconomy, gaining insight into the entire value chain from feedstock to advanced processing and applications as well as the different types of projects that are emerging – from pilot facilities that test new concepts to large-scale greenfield investments. Greta will share the approach Invest Lithuania is taking to attract bioeconomy investments and meet ambitious government targets in this area.
She will also discuss the evolving role of investment promotion agencies in supporting the sector. Rather than relying solely on traditional tools such as brochures or research reports, Invest Lithuania is working more intentionally with companies to deliver investment plans, including exploring tailored incentives for major projects.
Other discussion themes include the importance of cross-ministry collaboration, particularly with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and Ministry of Agriculture. Finally, the interview will conclude with Greta speaking about Invest Lithuania’s commitment to the Gender Pledge and the team’s efforts to embed diversity and inclusivity internally.
