FDI Center and the Møller Institute, Churchill College, University of Cambridge, are pleased to announce the Advanced Foreign Direct Investment Leadership Programme, a specialized professional development programme for senior investment promotion professionals.
Designed specifically for the leaders of investment promotion agencies and similar organizations, as well as government officials responsible for investment attraction and promotion, this will be the world’s only academically certified programme for experienced investment promotion professionals.
The programme will provide a comprehensive learning experience that covers the global environment for investment promotion, the impact of innovation and sustainability on investment, the decision-making processes of investors and practical skills for managing investment promotion organizations, stakeholders, and teams.
The programme combines a unique blend of practitioner-led perspectives with insights from leaders in academia, government and industry.
Sessions within the programme will be delivered by a select group of corporate executives, Cambridge University faculty and senior representatives of some of the world’s leading investment promotion agencies.
The first 4-day residential programme will be held in April 2021 and repeated each quarter at the Møller Institute’s facilities in Cambridge, providing a unique opportunity for participants to engage with their peers from around the world and faculty members in an inspiring environment.
“Despite the importance of investment promotion, there is currently no recognized academic programme for professionals in the field,” said Andreas Dressler, managing director of FDI Center.
“There is also a lack of high-quality professional development for investment promotion leaders and senior managers. The Leadership Programme fills this gap and provides participants with an exceptional programme that is designed and delivered in conjunction with one of the world’s most renowned academic institutions”, he said.
“The Møller Institute is very pleased to join with FDI Center in the development of this executive leadership programme,” said Richard Leather, Director of The Møller Institute.
“FDI Center has an established track record in delivering high quality professional development programmes to governments around the world. By combining this track record with faculty from the Møller Institute’s academic and commercial networks we have been able to develop an exceptional programme that provides senior executives with the insights, tools and perspectives which will prove invaluable in leading their organisations through the challenges of economic recovery”, he said.
Participation for the programme is through application only. The application process will ensure that experienced investment promotion leaders will have an opportunity to not only benefit from the insights of faculty but engage in problem solving exercises with their peers during this intensive residential experience.
Course fees include accommodation, and breakfast and lunch each day at the residential facilities of the Møller Institute.
Further information about the Advanced Foreign Direct Investment Leadership Programme, including dates, speakers and the application process will be announced early in 2021. In the meantime, please contact us if you are interested in participating and would like additional information.
