FDI Center has been invited to speak at the ASEAN Investment Forum 2025 on October 24 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The forum focuses on the vital role of foreign direct investment in supporting ASEAN’s economic transformation and regional development goals. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, the ASEAN Secretariat, the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Investment, the ASEAN Business and Advisory Council, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Managing Director, Andreas Dressler will be moderating the UK-ASEAN Green Investment Opportunities Roundtable. This closed-door roundtable will bring together a select group of UK-based investors and strategic partners to engage with five investment-ready green projects from across the ASEAN region. The session will feature project presentations as well as targeted networking opportunities with ASEAN investment promotion agencies, project developers, and investors, designed to encourage deal-making and the formation of lasting partnerships.
Andreas will also be moderating the session “Investing in ASEAN’s Renewable Energy Ecosystem”, which will explore how ASEAN is positioning itself as a strategic base for the global clean energy and electric mobility transition. Fellow guests on the panel include Souphaphone Saignaleuth, Deputy Director General, Investment Promotion and Management Committee, Prime Minister’s Office, Lao PDR, Akarin Suwannarat, Chief Technology Officer and Assistant CEO, Energy Absolute PLC, Rhiannon Harries, Deputy Trade Commissioner for Southeast Asia, UK Department for Business and Trade, and Gazal Katiyar, Associate Director, Risk and Investment, Solar, Levanta Renewables. This session is open to all attendees of the forum.
