On September 14 – 17, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) will take to Detroit, Michigan to host their Annual Conference. The event brings together economic developers from across North America to discuss the latest trends and developments in economic development.
On September 15 at 10:30 am – 11:30 am local time, FDI Center will deliver a workshop on “Future-Proofing Your Region: Resilient FDI Attraction Strategies”. This session will be led by Andreas Dressler, Managing Director, FDI Center and take place in room 310 B.
The workshop will explore historical examples of uncertainty and highlight how best-practice economic development agencies have responded to maintain resilient investment attraction within their regions and target sectors. We will examine the commonalities among these strategies and ways of working that have consistently delivered FDI results, even in the face of adversity.
We will also discuss how EDOs can refine their strategies and investor outreach to ensure that their FDI attraction efforts are robust and adaptable for the future. Join us for a session that will leave you equipped with the essential skills and insights needed to prepare for whatever uncertainty lies ahead.
