FDI Center’s managing director Andreas Dressler participated in a panel discussion entitled “Disruptions to Global Value Chains, Trade and Investment in a Changing World”. Held on October 20, 2020, the discussion was part of the Annual Investment Meeting: Digital Edition (AIM). The discussion focused on changes to global supply chains as a result of COVID-19 as well as the impact of digitalization and automation on foreign direct investment, corporate location decisions and global value chains. The other participants in the discussion were: Marc Engel, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Unilever; Yassir Zouaoui, Partner, McKinsey & Company; Javed Ahmad, Sr. Vice President, Global Supply Chain, Schneider Electric; and James Zhan, Director of the Investment and Enterprise Division, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
