FDI Center, in collaboration with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), hosted a panel discussion on “The future of investment promotion: the road ahead for investment promotion agencies”. The panelists were Pilar Madrigal, Director Investment Advisory, Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE), Nicola Watkinson, General Manager, The Americas, Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Kenny McDonald, CEcD, President & CEO, One Columbus and Boštjan Skalar, CEO of WAIPA. The discussion provided timely and practical advice on how investment promotion agencies and economic development agencies can confront current challenges and position themselves for attracting FDI in the future.
