FDI Center delivers the second cohort of the Advanced Foreign Direct Investment Leadership Programme in cooperation with Møller Institute, University of Cambridge.

From March 20 to March 24, FDI Center and Møller Institute held the second cohort of the Advanced Foreign Direct Investment Leadership Programme, a four-day residential leadership programme at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.

The programme enabled the participants, senior investment attraction executives and professionals of countries, states and cities, to acquire practical knowledge and essential skills for building successful FDI attraction agencies and strategies.

During the training, participants gained insight into the global environment in which investment promotion agencies operate and the factors that have the greatest influence on their ability to attract investment. The programme also covered the decision-making processes of corporate investors and the key determinants of their international expansion strategies and location choices.

Many of the sessions and discussions among the participants centered around raising their IPAs to a higher level of performance, both in terms of the quality of investment they attract as well as the value they provide to investors and key stakeholders in government and the private sector.

Coming from a diverse range of geographies, the participants were able to learn from their peers from around the world and develop joint approaches to shared opportunities and challenges faced by FDI leaders. The training is led by FDI experts, University of Cambridge professors and corporate executives to ensure participants can obtain a comprehensive understanding of effective and successful strategies in the field of FDI.

The next edition of the course will take place on June 21 to 24, 2022 at the University of Cambridge. Learn more and apply on Møller Institute’s website here.
