FDI Center and the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) held a two-day training workshop on FDI marketing and promotion in Rome, Italy on December 4 and 5, 2019.
Hosted by the Italian Trade Agency, the training was attended by a diverse group of investment promotion specialists from various countries including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Mauritius, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Uruguay.
Lead by FDI Center’s managing director, Andreas Dressler, the program focused on different aspects of marketing a location, including branding, defining target groups and developing value propositions for integrated marketing campaigns. Senior representatives from Toronto Global and Copenhagen Capacity gave presentationson their agencies’ digital marketing initiatives and provided valuable advice on how to make the best use of digital channels for location promotion.
The training was part of the FDI Excellence training program run jointly between FDI Center and WAIPA. The FDI Excellence series will continue in 2020 and the dates and locations of new courses will be announced soon.
