FDI Center was a knowledge partner of the World Investment Conference, held in Geneva from September 12 to 14, 2022. Organized by WAIPA, the World Investment Conference is a leading annual forum for investment promotion agencies (IPAs), multilateral development organizations and multinational companies to discuss the key factors affecting global investment flows and the strategies of IPAs.
The agenda for the conference addressed topics such as the relationship between FDI and sustainability and the realignment of global value chains. At this year’s event, FDI Center’s Andreas Dressler and Kim Zietlow ran a workshop on “what investors need and how to provide it”, which was attended by approximately 50 representatives of IPAs from around the world. Andreas Dressler also held a presentation on “the power of people in investment attraction”, in which he highlighted the role of individuals in making and influencing investment and location decisions.
