FDI Center to hold a workshop at IEDC’s Leadership Summit on February 24

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) will host it’s annual Leadership Summit on February 23 – 25 in Washington, DC.

FDI Center will be hosting a workshop on “Attracting FDI in a Changing Environment” on Monday, February 24 at 16:45 – 17:45 in the Federal A room. This session will be delivered by managing director, Andreas Dressler.

Geopolitical competition, technological change, and supply chain realignments are just some of the factors impacting how companies expand internationally and where they choose to invest. This one-hour workshop will explore the impact of these trends on foreign direct investment, providing practical insights and recommendations to economic development agencies seeking to attract FDI to their states and communities.

Participants in the session will learn:

  • How global trends are affecting the direction of FDI flows
  • How these developments will impact FDI into North America
  • Which industries are likely to generate FDI projects
  • What economic development agencies around the world are doing to respond to these changes

Join our workshop to gain insights into the latest trends in FDI and how EDOs can successfully attract investment in a changing environment.

This workshop is open to attendees of the conference only. Register to attend the summit on the IEDC’s website here.

If you would like to meet with Andreas and the FDI Center team while there, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to seeing you there!
